Warning Description: Wind Advisory
Warning Date: 9:27 PM EST on November 20, 2008
WarningSum:...Wind Advisory Remains In Effect From 8 Am To 5 Pm Est Friday...
Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Wind
Advisory...which is in effect from 8 am to 5 PM EST Friday for
north and central Georgia.
Strong and gusty winds will kick up behind a cold front late
tonight and Friday. Gusty north to northwest winds of 15 to
30 mph can be expected over the area with the strongest winds in
the mountains.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph or
wind gusts of at least 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles.
Use extra caution.

Low Relative Humidities...
Warning Message:...Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon
through Saturday evening for north and central Georgia for
low relative humidities...
A red flag warning remains in effect from 7 am to 6 PM EST
Friday. A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Saturday
afternoon through Saturday evening.
This warning and watch include the Chattahoochee and Oconee
National forests.
On Friday...dry fuel moisture conditions will combine with
relative humidities of 20 to 30 percent and north to northwest
winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts of 25 to 35 mph. This will
create dangerous fire weather conditions.
On Saturday...dry fuel moisture conditions may combine with
relative humidities of 15 to 25 percent and winds less than
10 mph. This will create dangerous fire weather conditions.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring...or will occur within 24 hours.
A Fire Weather Watch means that there is high potential for the
development of critical fire weather conditions in 12 to
72 hours. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag
warnings.
Please refer to the local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn outdoors. If you do burn outside...use extreme
caution.
Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of the red flag warning.
